Oral Gospel Tradition

Dunn (emeritus, divinity, U. of Durham, England) has collected 15 essays published in scattered sources that display his thinking and findings regarding the oral transmission of the gospel in early Christianity. The topics include re-envisaging the early transmission of the Jesus tradition, Matthew's awareness of Markan redaction, in dialogue with Birger Gerhardsson and Richard Bauckham about eyewitnesses and the oral Jesus tradition, how the quest of the historical Jesus lost its way, and between Jesus and the gospels.
