Fast-paced vigilante justice with a sharp Irish edge, a battle-hardened ex-commando, a young daughter he’ll kill to protect, and a past that turns grief into violence. They took his wife from him. They will not take his daughter too. Sam Ireland comes home from war carrying more than scars. When his wife is murdered in front of their daughter, Isla, the last safe thing in his world is gone. Isla needs certainty. Sam gives her the only refuge he can: a boat, open water, and a father who will not let the dark reach her again. But those that would do them harm are not gone. Sam follows the trail with cold patience, one lie and one threat at a time. What he uncovers leads into Ireland’s hidden corners, where powerful men protect predators and the law looks the other way. Grief does not make Sam reckless — it turns him into the soldier he tried to leave behind. And every step towards justice drags danger closer to the child he has sworn to protect.
