'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse . . . The scene is set for a magical Christmas Eve and one of the best-loved Christmas stories of all time. Clement C. Moore first read this timeless poem to his young children on Christmas Eve in 1822. It was published anonymously in a New York newspaper the following year and quickly spread around the world, becoming a cherished Christmas tradition for many families. This beautiful picture book edition brings together the classic verse with enchanting illustrations by Robert Ingpen that perfectly capture the magic of Christmas for young and old alike.
