The book is devoted to the problems of self-identification in the modern world. The author examines different civilizational paradigms, including the opposition of Western and Eastern civilization, as well as the North-South dichotomy. The era of globalization has changed the system of civilization interaction and the basis of human self-identification in modern multicultural society. The book examines in detail the civic, political-legal, socio-cultural and ethnic components of the concept of 'identity'. The author highlights the problem of increasing interethnic and interethnic conflicts in the modern era.
