If I Were a Kangaroo

If I were a kangaroo, I'd pick you up and carry you In my pocket, sleepyhead, And hop you gently off to bed. With verses inspired by the animal kingdom, If I Were a Kangaroo is a lyrical new bedtime book. As the narrator coaxes the yawning reader to sleep, imaginations will be piqued by images of whales drifting fin by fin into dreamland, of knob-kneed giraffes falling asleep standing up, and of bats hanging drowsily upside down. Mylisa Larsen's soothing words are perfectly paired with Anna Raffs playful illustrations, bringing to life the sleepy antics of the animal world for a new generation of bedtime readers.
