This fourteenth century poem, revolving around the exploits of the mythological hero Theseus and his intervention in the romantic wooing of the Amazon princess Emilia by two Thebans of royal origin, is presented in its original Italian and in English. The translator also provides an introduction in which he sketches a brief biography of the poet Bocaccio and summarizes the action of the twelve books of the poem. Annotation c.
