Originally published in 1991, The Science of Psychotherapy was trailblazing in addressing both academic and clinical topics from a strictly scientific viewpoint. The author presents a reasonable progression from the fundamentals and methods that characterize all sciences, to their use as an orientation and textual set in defining the field of scientific psychology. The treatment is philosophically sound, well-researched, balanced, comprehensive, and candid.
