Eddie Brock's son Dylan comes to realize that the Venom symbiote is not a pet but a very dangerous alien, that the bond that it had once had with Eddie is no longer there, and that he, too, is at risk now that Carlton Drake and the Life Foundation has reappeared and is targeting the new Venom.
