Nehemiah : Doing God's Work, God's Way (Verse by Verse Bible Study)

When the people of Israel returned to Jerusalem after exile, the city was run down and its wall was destroyed. The book of Nehemiah recounts its namesake’s effort to rebuild the wall and restore God’s city for the sake of God’s glory. Nehemiah’s prayerful dependence, devotion to the Word, and commitment to lead in repentant faith offer a timeless template for spiritual leadership. In this twelve-week, verse-by-verse study, you’ll follow Nehemiah’s journey from the Persian royal court to the battered streets of Jerusalem. You’ll bear witness as he, enabled mightily by God, heads the rebuilding effort and the rededication of God’s people to God’s praise. And along the way, you’ll learn valuable lessons on leading well, dealing with opposition, and joining together in fervent commitment to biblical worship and godly living. The Verse by Verse series, based on Alistair Begg’s expository Bible teaching and preaching, captures the heart of Truth For Life’s mission, providing yet another way to teach the Bible with clarity and relevance. Study participants will more fully grasp the value of God’s Word in their lives as they grow in their ability to read and understand Scripture before applying it in their walk with the Lord.
